Dr. Tomlinson’s Education, Experience, & Expertise
Dr. Tomlinson’s education enables him to be one of the best in his field. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in chemistry and biology (2001), magna cum laude with a doctor of medicine in dentistry degree (2005) and a doctor of medicine degree (2008), and completed advanced training in oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Dr. Tomlinson holds dual degrees in medicine and dentistry. He believes that having both degrees enables him to be a better oral surgeon. He knows that in order to be the best, he must continue learning. Dr. Tomlinson seeks out certifications to further his education.
Current certifications he holds include:
- American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (ABOMS) – Board Certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) CPR / First Aid
He furthered his experience when he took over Athens Oral Surgery Center in 2011. For six years, he has delivered superior and innovative care to his patients. Every procedure he completes enables him to be even more skilled and further his expertise.
